Jury Duty Question
How many times do they make you call back before they tell you not to come?
I was due to call in for Monday. I called and they are telling me to call back on Monday. Are they going to tell me I have to go in on Tuesday or another day or will they go through all the people for Monday and if they get who they need I am dismissed for 6 years?

You most likely have to call everyday during the week unless you get called in on Monday. Once they don't pick you for a case or do not call you in, you are free for 6 years.

Re: Jury Duty Question
I am not sure about Suffolk county, but in Queens I had to call in for 5 days before I was excused from calling again.
I imagine a lot of people get excused off the bat (sole caregiver of young child, people that don't live in the county anymore, etc) and then it will depend on how many cases are going on and how many juries they are trying to fill.

Re: Jury Duty Question
Ok, that doesn't work for me I have a docs appt on Tuesday and we are going to see the Rockettes on Thursday and well next week I have a hair appointment that I've had for 3 months. Can I tell em to shove it those days or send in something saying Im a caretaker and get out of it if they want me then?

But it said that you can only excused 1x in 12 months and after that you MUST go.
