just about 3 weeks post-partum ... where are my delivery week buddies?
I tried on my pre-pg jeans today, and they FIT! I left the hospital weighing less than I did pre-pg, but I still have the tummy flap/poochy thing. And my hips are wider. It's so weird how things changed!
I delivered naturally, and my bleeding has just about stopped. Just spotting now. I was wondering if anyone else was like this? I thought it'd be going for at least a month.
Still having pretty bad back pain from delivery. Its especially bad right around 4am when I'm holding/feeding the baby. I'm going to the chiro tomorrow - we'll see if that helps.
Thanks!

Hey Shorty!! I delivered Aug 1st.
I delivered vaginally as well and although I'm still bleeding, its much lighter than it was. I'm now back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I still have a little pouch in the front. I cant quite zip my pre-pregnancy jeans (and my hips seem wider than before, so they dont fit the same) but I feel great overall.
Emotionally I'm all over the place. Most of the time I feel good, but I do get overwhelmed and weepy when he cries

Re: just about 3 weeks post-partum ... where are my delivery week buddies?
My little guy will be 3 weeks on Thursday. We are both doing really well so far and adjusting nicely. I'm still 10 lbs. over my pre-pregnancy weight, but I gained 40 so I'm happy with that for now. I can get my jeans all the way up, they just don't zip yet. I can't wait for my doctor to give me the OK to start working out a little. My bleeding has started to taper off too, it's not more that a light spotting now. I hope the chiro helps with your back.

Re: just about 3 weeks post-partum ... where are my delivery week buddies?
I feel really good- way better than I did. My back does bother me a bit, but I had back issues prior to pregnancy.
I have lost about 32 pounds and have a bit more to go, but find my clothes that fit me at this weight before don't fit me well now. My hips seem to be wider than before, so I am having difficulty with my jeans fitting. Not sure if the hip thing is a temporary condition. My belly is a bit out of whack, not that I was abs of steel before, but it's just different. I can't waiy until my dr.'s appt. to get clearance to start working out.
My bleeding seems to be tapering off, but is still more than spotting. Not sure if that has anything to do with the episiotomy/forceps . . .

My is 3 weeks today...I cannot believe how fast the past 3 weeks have flown by... My bleeding has completely stopped...BFing did not go very well, my milk dried up in one breast last week, so I am still trying to dry up the other side. Still having some major back pains, especially down by my tailbone...really hoping that subsides soon. I lost the 13 lbs. I had gained during the pregnancy, but everything is laying completely different...Definitely looking forward to getting back to the gym (as I am shoving oatmeal raisin cookies in my mouth... )

Glad to see we're all hanging in there!
Had the chiro this morning. I'm actually in more pain now than I was before my appt! Hopefully with a few treatments, I'll be feeling better. He found some trouble areas to watch closely...lets hope it's nothing.
