Just another hurdle
hopefully this one won't be a big one.
I saw the oncologist last night for a check up for a breast abnormality I had a few years ago. Before I can cycle Dr Davis wants the oncologist to tell him how he feels about which protocol I would be on.
The good news is that my exam was unremarkable. He wants me to go for a breast MRI to make 10000% sure there is nothing we are missing. I had the mammo a few months ago and it was all clear. If that's all clear, then it won't matter what protocol I go on because the amount of estrogen on the stimming is nowhere near the amount I will have naturally if I get pregnant. It's a risk, but at least I will be all clear before anything starts. Also, if I don't have any estrogen issues, I can go on the natural hormones and not the synthetic ones that have far less side effects.
So I will have the MRI at the end of August. I guess that answers my question about when I'm going to cycle. October it is.

That's okay...at least you know you'll be in perfect health for your October cycle. I know you're disappointed, but take the time to do some things for yourself!!!

it actually gives me some breathing room to figure out more of the finances and talk to DH about it. It also gives him more time to come to grips with doing IVF.

I agree!
I know you are just starting on this journey, but you need to be mentally ready for IVF too. My doctor wouldn't let me start my IVF protocol until I had taken a 1 month break..we ended up taking about a month and a half and went on a nice vacation during that time.

we are going on vacation Aug 15 for 9 days. It should be a good time to reflect. I'm not nervous about the MRI at all. I think everything is fine. I'm ok with waiting. I just feel that we hurry up and wait.
Gotta give DH time to process everything as well.
