Just Closed! Needs some opinions
We just closed last week! We have a few jobs to do to the house, and could have done much of it ourselves, but we planned on closing about 8 months ago. We ran into a huge CO issue that pushed us back until now, and we are currently living in my parents' home. So we are looking to just get these jobs done ASAP.
looking for some recommendations for people to do the following jobs:
- refinishing hardwood floors
- upgrade the electric, install new outlets and all that stuff
- install a fan in our bathroom (such a little job, i know lol), remove old vanity, install a new one. Also, advice on where to buy a new vanity for cheap would be helpful!
- someone who can re-face our kitchen cabinets and install new countertops/backsplash for an affordable price- really don't want to spend more than like $2500 total on that
- someone who can put in new kitchen flooring for a good price. Nothing too pricey
Also looking for recommendations on where to buy an affordable area rug for our bedroom, and possibly the living room. We don't want to spend a fortune on this because we really want to show more of the hardwood flooring anyway. But, one or two area rugs will look nice in the spaces.

For area rugs, a couple of my clients just recommended Rugs USA.
For a basic bathroom vanity, I would go to Lowe's. We did a "facelift" for our master bath a couple of years ago (not a whole renovation, but just freshened it up), and we got a vanity from there and it was very reasonable. I am sure other places have more selection or higher end materials, but we just wanted a basic dark wood vanity with a white sink, and there were plenty of choices (and they had a decent selection of different sizes, finishes, etc.).

I got a cheap rug from rugusa (they have groupons). It won't last forever but it's a quick fix for us
You can also check out Home Depot and lowes for rugs
We got a bathroom vanity from Home Depot
The person that does your electrical work can do your bathroom fan (no recommendations but when you find some is ask them for that price with the electrical work).

For area rugs, check out home decorators, rugs usa, and overstock. Also see if you can get coupons for other stores. We bought beautiful area rugs from Pottery Barn and with coupon they were the same price as the other sites.
Congrats on the house!
