We have a ranch. We have the biggest bedroom and we gave our son the 2nd biggest bedroom, right next door.

Master is on one side of the house and the kids bedrooms are on the other side (split floor plan). I love it!Chat Icon Obviously in the beginning its not the easiest but as they get older it's great. The guestroom is on the lower level...

We have a split and all the bedrooms are upstairs.

A lot ofthe capes I looked at converted the upstairs to a giant master suite.

Thankfully our house has all bedrooms on one floor....so did the house I grew up in.
My Cousin's have similar capes & they're downstairs w/kids upstairs.
My SIL has a cape & currently the boys share a room right next to their parents, but when they get older they'll be moving upstairs.

we have two bedrooms-one being the master upstairs & three bedrooms on the main floor. if we had a baby or young child the room next to ours would be a great nursery. our kids are big so its our exercise room. the kids have rooms on the main floor, i love the setup, we have plenty of privacy. if i leave my bedroom door open i can hear practically everything in the house.

Our master is a converted attic. The kids rooms are downstairs. LIterally, my bed is near the steps and right after the steps going downstairs are their rooms. It doesn't bother me, that what monitors are for!

this is exactly how our house is set up...we don't have kids yet but they will be downstairs and our master bed is upstairs

I have a CH Colonial with 4 bedrooms. Our DD's nursery is down the hall. We did not pick the room next to ours because it is directly across from the stairs.

we have a new construction home that we just built. Our master is downstairs and the rest of the rooms are upstairs. I thought at first that I wouldn't like it but we love it so far!
