Just curious, in delivery room.... (w/poll)
Who do you think will be with you while your in labor??
I have been getting this question lately from my Mom and Sister...I was originally thinking just DH. I was even considering taking a few minutes after birth to bond THEN telling everyone. I want to be calm and relaxed and not have any distractions. I mentioned this to my sister and she said "Well we can also wait at home, we will close" I think she was being sarcastic, lol.
In the end it is MY decision though so we will see.
What about you ladies?

Just DH. My mom will be with DS, so I don't have to worry about that. Everyone can come see me when DD is born but not before then.

During the delivery I only want DH in there.
Since labor can last many hours, I would like my mom there too, but at the end I'd prefer not to have anyone else in there than the hospital staff and DH.

DH ONLY!!!! And i made that clear to everyone early on 
I'm fine with immediate family to say hi before the actual delivery and both sets of parents will be at the hospital and even aunts and uncles to vist after Goober is born but i think there will be enough people looking at my hooha that they can stay outside

i dont have a problem with my immediate family in the labor room but only DH will be in the delivery room (hell, i dont even want to be in the delivery room   )

During delivery- JUST DH!
I know that it will be stressful and I tend to snap and get annoyed easily under stressful situations, so I don't want others there to deal with my wrath!
I have a feeling I won't be much better during labor, but they will have to understand that I'm in pain!
I think my mom wants to be in the delivery room, but I'm just not comfortable with that.

I'm having DH and hopefully my mom. She's coming up from Florida but I guess it depends on the timing. She really doesn't want to be in the room because she had a bad experience with my sister's first baby (she knew immediately something was wrong when baby's head was crowning - baby had Trisomy 13 and didn't make it  ). I would still like her to be there, but I won't force it on her.

I only want my DH there. I know that when one of my SILs was in labor, my other SILs and MIL were there with her. I am hoping that when it comes up, i can calmly tell them I'd rather be there with DH. I am not planning on getting an epidural, so I really do not want anyone there other than DH.

Ugh, my ILs are "waiting room waiters." My family will sometimes even wait until the next day if the baby is born in the evening. . . I am dreading this but thank goodness DH agrees with me that this should be about US for just a little bit

Just DH. I am having a C, so he is the only one allowed in anyway. Besides, our families are in NY and I am in FL, so they won't be down anyway until she comes home.

I had family members come in the delivery room to visit me while being induced, but when it came to the actual labor and delivery part, they were in the waiting room.

Right now I am thinking only DH. I might let MIL & my mom come in & out while I am in labor, but prob not during delivery.

By the way, if anyone decides they don't want someone in the delivery room, and they are trying to push their way in...just tell the nurses, they have the power to keep whomever you want out.
When we had family members come in, the nurse told me to tell her when I wanted people to leave, I told her, I'll just tell them! I had no problem telling people when to leave. But for those who don't want to hurt feelings, make your nurse the 'bad guy' they don't mind.

In the delivery room it will ONLY be DH.
I don't expect too many visitors at the hospital because I live in CT. The closest people to us are DH's parents who live 45 minutes away. I am sure we will call everyone when we check into the hospital and people can wait at my house or the hospital. I guess because everyone isn't close I haven't thought much about it.
But I want my mother as far away as possible. She is so controling she would probably push the doctor out of the way...

I had a c/s and it was just DH in the room with me.
Will be the same thins time around, baring unforseen circumstances.
If DH for some reason can't be there, my mom would be my first choice.

If my sister lived here, she would be more than welcome to be with me if she wanted, but she is in NC. With DD I was actually crying for my mom-she is in NC, but in reality I don't think I would want my mom to see me in pain like that, plus I don't think she would want to be in there anyway
