Just out of curiosity-- moms of blondies (who have more than 1 child)
If your first child was blonde, what about your 2nd, 3rd, etc children?
Just curious as to what the future could hold for me when the time comes for #2, since DD's a blondie Cindy's pictures inspired me.
My sister & I were both blondes from the very beginning (well, I had darker hair at birth and new hair came in blonde when I was an infant).
I obviously don't care either way if my future kids are blonde, just a question out of curiosity
I guess it could go the other way too-- if baby #1 wasn't blonde but #2/etc. is blonde.

DS is blonde, and although she doesn't have too much of it yet , DD's hair is a reddish...My DS hair had a reddish tone also before he went from platinum to dirty blonde which he is now ...
I'm reddish brown, DH is brown

Re: Just out of curiosity-- moms of blondies (who have more than 1 child)
DH has been blonde his whole life whereas I was very blonde when I was little and my hair got darker as I got older (I guess they call it "dirty" blonde).
Anyway, DS is blonde and I think will stay that way. I can't imagine DS #2 not being blonde.
My husbands cousin has blonde hair and her husband has dark brown hair and guess what...she just had her 3rd DS and they are all blonde. We joke around with him b/c none of the boys look like him so we say their probably the mailman's kids

Re: Just out of curiosity-- moms of blondies (who have more than 1 child)
My husband has always had black (not dark brown) hair. I was light blonde as a child and darkened to medium blonde during puberty. I haven't seen my 'real' color since my 20's though! Robbie was born with black hair.. then it turned LIGHT blonde. Now it is dark blonde/light brown. Noah was born light brown and has stayed that way.
I can tell you that my mom was a platinum blonde her whole life (until she turned white) and my dad was light blonde, medium blonde and finally turned dark brown in his 30's - they had 5 kids... Keren was light blonde from cradle til grave, Mellie was brownish/red chestnut and has stayed that way.. but she colors herself blonde, Lou was white blonde and turned dirty blonde in his early 20's, and my youngest sister was kind of a light brownish/red chestnut that turned deeper brownish/red and is now dyed plain red. I asked my mom once if she was disappointed that she didn't have an army of blondes like herself and her sisters.. she said "Ya get what ya get and you don't get upset!"
It's a mixed bag!!

I will let you know in about 7 weeks (when I post a pic)
Same thing with me and my sisters. We were all born blonde, but my sisters hairs darkened to brunettes at around age 4 or so. My hair went to dirty blonde. So I'm the only one as a blonde in my famiily

I can't wait to find out in Nov!
DD was born with dark hair, her hair is now dark blond/light brown with crazy blond highlights. I am so curious to find out what this next one will look like-I'm curious about the eye color too (DD is blue).
Like you said, it doesn't matter what their coloring is, I'm just curious.

Re: Just out of curiosity-- moms of blondies (who have more than 1 child)
My dad is blond. My mom is brunette. My mom's mom is blond.
My sister was blond and she is the only one of all my siblings. My other sister and I have the same color hair, light brown (gets lighter in the Summer) but with some red. My brother is very dark brown.
DS is blond. But DH was blond as kid. So there is no way of knowing if baby #2 would be blond or not.
It was actually an inside joke for DH and I when people were telling us that it would not be a surprise because we know he was a boy while I was PG. We were saying "oh yes, the surprise is either he is blond or dark hair". DS is still blond but I think he will turn to ligth brown eventually like everyone in my family and DH.

Re: Just out of curiosity-- moms of blondies (who have more than 1 child)
Genes are really funny arent they?
I would look at your nieces and nephews on both sides of your/Dh family...
My eldest daughter is DARK. Black eyes, very dark brown hair, olive, yet fair skin...She takes after her father's side of the family. They are all dark like that. Seems to be a trait of the family...very strong genes there...
My twins are both blond and light eyed...fair skinned, yet they tan well. I was blond when I was little but I was a brunette by the time I was 7...my girls are 10 now and they are showing no signs of things changing...
Caden's hair is light brown or dark blond. It'll probably get super light over the summer from the sun. He too is light eyed....
In my family we seem to run the gamate of dark blond to medium brown. We dont have any platinums nor do we have any super dark...well, except for my daughter but we know where that comes from...

Re: Just out of curiosity-- moms of blondies (who have more than 1 child)
DS has blond hair and DD has dirty blonde. I think DS is going to end up dirty blonde and DD will have dark hair. I was blonde like like DS as baby and as the years went on my hair got a little dark. Then with each baby my hair got darker too.

My first son is blond but my 2nd son has dark brown hair with a bit of red in it. Also, my first son was practically bald when he was born but my 2nd had a TON of hair.

I have brown hair/green eyes. My hair lightens significantly in the sun though and I was blond as a baby. DH has very dark hair and dark brown eyes.
DS1 is blond (platinum blond in the sun!)/blue eyed. What little hair DS2 has , is light brown and he has blue/green eyes.

C--you see how things turned out w/ DS after my baldie Gracie.
YET DH was just like DS & his hair turned platinum by the time he was a year old (& didn't turn to dark brown until he was 12 or 13).
My brother & I were both platinum blond as kids; then got a bit sandy blond.

Re: Just out of curiosity-- moms of blondies (who have more than 1 child)
Roman was very blonde at birth and still is at 3. Clover was born with darker blonde and still has the same color at 19 months. Paxton was born with reddish blonde hair. DH has brown hair but had platinum hair until grade school. I have dirty blonde (naturally )
I think Roman will have DH's haircolor and the other two will have my natural color.

Re: Just out of curiosity-- moms of blondies (who have more than 1 child)
DS and DD both have blond hair. DH has blond hair as an adult, and was white-blond has a child. I have light brown hair, and w as blond as a child.
ETA: DD was a baldy, blond hair is growing in now at almost 5 months. DS was born with a ton of dark bond hair, most of which fell out, and now platinum blond hair is growing in at almost 5 mts.
