My grocery shopping is down to a science. I walk in with list, coupons and strategies in hand and mind, and dont waste a single second. Im on a mission and stay out of my way. Then I walk out spending like $70 for $200 in groceries and I get to go home where he unloads and stocks everything and I brag about my savings, oh how corny Ive become
LMAO!! I am picturing this. Very well I might add.
you know me well even if I see students Ive worked with, im like la la la gotta keep shoppin.. well mostly because Im usually in my sweats and hair in a scrunchy but its cute when they yell out a big HIIIIII !

I would actually have to tell him which aisles the items were in!

DH would get everything on the list. He may throw in beer, tomatoes, sushi, and maybe some kinds of dessert. DH is usually pretty good with the shopping.

He would get all the most expensive brands on the list. He would throw in beer and Entemann's chocolate chip cookies, and apple-cinnamon pop tarts. And a ton of Baking Soda for the fridges and freezers... he is obsessed with baking soda..

LMAO, I love how every single one of us said almost the same thing. I just called DH to let him know he's not alone when he gets dirty looks after bringing in the grocery bags from one of his "trips."

he would never go to the supermarket- he would go to 7-11 and buy all of these items ( who knows how much that would cost) and then not understand why I am mad

with the following list, what would happen?
1.Milk 2.Bread 3.Chicken breasts 4.deli turkey 5.toilet paper 6.Please pick up anything else we might need.
he would come back with items 1 through 5 and then probably about 10 more items that HE likes (cheeses, salami, olives, etc)
ETA: just wanted to add that I would have to SPECIFY what kind of milk, bread, chicken, TP, etc. otherwise he would just roam around for an hour going

Re: Just out of curiosity...if you sent DH to the supermarket....
He would forget to bring me skim milk, but would get his milk (lactaid) and Nate's whole milk.
He would buy the wrong brand of bread and toilet paper, even though I wrote which one for him. He tends to go for what's cheaper. Since he last went to pick up tp, his a$$ has realized that they are not all the same.
His anything else would be a bunch of frozen, processed foods... things bachelors tend to have in their fridge.

Wait, does anyone else's hubby walk down EVERY SINGLE AISLE ????????????
DH does that if he is in a "foreign" supermarket or didnt' prepare a list in advance, but he actually created a computer prgram to tell him which aisles of the White Plains Super Stop & SHop to go down, based on the shoppping list he enters.
He does the grovery shoping every week. He'd get everything, & be pretty good about the " anything else we need", but he throw in cookies & expensive cheese.

Re: Just out of curiosity...if you sent DH to the supermarket....
He'd get the wrong brands of each of these things... which would annoy the living crap out of me because I am consistant and we EAT THE SAME brands ALL THE TIME... he'd come home, I'd be pissy.... thus why I do all of the shopping!

Re: Just out of curiosity...if you sent DH to the supermarket....
He would pick up everything but quadruple the amount of toilet paper I indicated. I have now lost a crawl space to TP alone.

I would get a seperate call from the aisle of each item asking what brand, size etc.
I would get the calls too...but he would definitely get everything on the list and anything else we needed plus one of my favorite "bad foods" just because He's a good food shopper, save for the 7 calls he makes while doing it.

He would get what's on the list, spend an additional $50 on stuff that is mostly perishable and get thrown out after a week because it wouldn't get eaten. That's why I do the grocery shopping.
Yep - mine too!

Awe, my DH eats like a crazy dieter like myself. He'd probably come home with diet coke, turkey, tuna, and maybe coco puffs (if he's feeling the chocolate cravings)

Re: Just out of curiosity...if you sent DH to the supermarket....
He would get everything on the list and call if it was not available to see what I wanted instead.
He would also get his favorites hormel pepperoni, pitted olives in a glass jar and gatorade. Then he would call again to ask if we had this or that and pick up those items too. If there is something I like that's on sale he will call and ask if I want that He is pretty good at grocery shopping.
Laundry is the next big thing. He is not into dryer sheets yet.

He would get all the items on the list plus a bunch of snacks, maybe beer, cheese & crackers. I actually sent him a couple weeks ago and he came back with all plus 2 magazines and cheesecake for me (maybe I should send him more often )
