Just put him on a school bus by himself for the first time ever...
I am still upset. He didn't realize I wasn't coming on with him...
He is only 2 years 10 months...started a 5 week summer program today..its everyday from 9-12 and he went on the bus at 8:20. He was screaming when I left, in hysterics and yelling "Mommy come on bus!! Mommy come on bus!!".
UGH. I am a wreck. I know like everything else i'll get through it, but I hate him being upset and not understanding whats happening.
**I prob shouldn't call the school to check on him right? Lol. I want to SO BADLY to make sure he's ok but its the first day and I know thats prob a no-no ?

If it would make you feel better to call then call. I teach Kindergarten and have had parents call to check in when their kids are crying at drop off time. I am sure he is fine but there is no need for you to worry all morning when he could be having the time of his life. I was never put off when a parent called to check in, I know how hard it is to leave a crying child.

I would have been so upset too.
I personally would think about calling too. I am not sure what I would do. A part of me, says "yes, call" and a part says "no, it's time to let go".

I called. Lol. They assured me its 100% normal to call and check on your 2 year old and not to feel badly...they are calling me back in a few minutes after they send someone to his class...
After today I woudln't call, but I just needed to. I feel better that I did...now lets pray they say he's calmed down.
Did I mention he is potty training too?? Lol!! (Doing great with it, hoping this doesn't cause a set back!!)

I'm a special ed. teacher, and I have had plenty of parents call the school and myself if their child was upset getting on the bus...I would probably call if it were me, but I am sure if he is really upset, they will call you. If it makes you feel better to call, I would do it!
I am sure he will love the bus and school by the end of the day!

the school should definitely call you if there's a problem but if it would make you feel better, call them.

All he talked about this morning was going on the big boy school bus...I kept saying "Mommy is going to wave goodbye and you're going to have so much fun!!". He was really excited when the bus pulled up...but when he saw I was leaving him he was inconsolable.
Just makes me sad. I hate not knowing what he must be thinking you know? It stinks!

I could cry for you just reading this! Camp is a good thing and him being on that bus is a good thing too! He will get used to it and before you know he will be running on the bus waving BYE to you
Knowing how I am, I would call the school just to make sure he was all good. You know he is alright, but just hearing the person tell you will make you feel better

Awww - i would be upset too but I am sure once he started to ride the bus he was okay. And if he wasn't when he got to school they would have called you. But for your own peace of mind, I don't think it hurts to call the school either. I am sure they can understand any parent checking in.

I think you should call.. It will ease your mind b/c he most probably calmed down within minutes and is having a ball...
if it makes YOU feel better... call them... I am sure they are used to it and understand completely...
it's a very upsetting thing to a mother..
