How are they doing?

Ryan just started this week and loves it. He is still adjusting to me leaving when I drop him off, but otherwise is doing good.

I love when I pick him up and his face lights up when he sees me. Chat Icon

This is my favorite part! Maddie is doing well. She gets excited when I mention it's time for school. She was a little nervous once or twice when I dropped her off but now she seems to be fine.

Andy loves it. The first week was a little tough, he cried every day but since then he runs right in and doesn't even turn around when I say goodbye.

She's doing great and I think I am feeling more confident with it as well. Chat Icon
I'm really happy with the school we chose and so far Montessori seems to be a great fit for us and I love how much things she is learning are rubbing off at home.

My favorite part as well.

Joey loves school. He's been wanting to go since forever because he wants to do EVERYTHING like his big brother.

He cried the first day for a bit, but since then, he's been fine. He looks forward to going. I'm so glad.

I'm so glad Ryan has adjusted as well. Our little ones are all grown up. Chat Icon

Ryan is doing great! He never cried when I left him and I've peeked in at him when I pick him up, and he seems to be participating and loving it. I'm so proud of him. Chat Icon

Glad to hear the other little ones are doing well too!

John loves it. He asks me every morning if today is school (he only goes Wednesday and Friday). He loves showing me his projects and telling me about his day.

He was so upset he couldnt go today....gotta love the moms who let their sick kids sneeze and cough all over other kids and then say dont worry its only allergiesChat Icon Chat Icon

Alex is doing well too. I am excited for him but sad at the same time, he is getting so big.

Wow, everyone else is doing so well.

Wish I could say the same over here. We are making progress but she still has to be physically removed from me in the morning. It is horrible. She only cried for 10 minutes on Tuesday so that was great. She has not mentioned wanting to stop going to school today so that is a huge improvement too. Hopefully tomorrow will go well and I can come home and NOT cry for the first time in 3 weeks.

My favorite part is when I see that big smile at the end of the day when I pick her up. She truly has fun when she is there but it is so hard for her to leave me. That is why she is there though. I knew it would be tough.

Kate's doing great. I think she really enjoys it, but I probably love it even more than she does--I'm a school junkie. She tells me about the little jobs she gets..."I gave all the kids at my table a napkin..." or her activities, "Mommy we made PURPLE today!!" Love it!

Tomorrow is "Back to School" night and I am SOOO psyched!

My ds loves school. He tells me to go home because he's big and get him later Chat Icon But when I go pick him up he can see me through the door and I can read his lips telling the kids next to him "that's my mommy, that's my mommy" So he might be getting big and having fun but he still misses me Chat Icon

Re: Moms of kids who just started pre-school this year for the first time

DD seems to be enjoying it...from what DH has observed. The only issue she is having is that she gets upset when they make her sit for snack. It's too early for her snack but they want her to sit anyway. It's a tough one but they'll figure it out.

DH says she'll be playing when he goes to pick her up and when she sees him she starts to do a little whiny cry. The teacher says she doesn't do that until he comes. It just reminds us that at 24 months she is still just a baby.

Glad to hear all of the other little ones are having so much fun!

Julia loves school, I did some transitioning classes with her over the summer and she loved it, so I knew I wouldn't have any problems with her when she started again last week.

I love when I pick her up and she runs out and screams MOMMY!!! Everyone else laughs too cause she's so loud--lolChat Icon

Lance loves it. He did cry tuesday when DH dropped him off. Then when he picked him up he cried to stay.

I think it was the right choice to start him now.

He LOVES school! It makes my day to know that he is so happy!

Although..STILL separation anxiety in the am. The teacher has to take him from my arms and he cries. I wait outside the door and he stops within 10 seconds, lol. When I pick him up he is always so so happy.

He has recently starting saying "Help" and "oops" too which is nice to hear, lol. Little by little he's gaining more words..
