Just ruined my New Years
I had my first IUI on 12/20 and was supposed to go this Sat for a beta. DH and I both had this feeling it was going to work. Well yesterday I decided to just do one at work and its a BFN. I'm pretty sure it would show something at this point. Just got into a fight with DH because I don't want to do anything or go anywhere now

That's early to be testing most ladies don't get BFP until 13 or 14dpiui

Do you think I should still go on Saturday for a beta. I just thought it would show something, because it lists 0.5-1 week, 1-2 weeks and so on. I figured if I was it would at least come back with a very low number at this point

Of course you would go for your beta. You're testing too early. If that was days past a FET cycle(IVF). Then I would say its a true negative but not past an IUI.

Also if you're testing bfn then you know the trigger is out your system so when you get a BFP it's a true one. Trigger stays in for 10 days.

I remember feeling the same with failed IUIs (though you are still to early to test...).
IF can take a long time.

I didnt get my BFP until 12 days past O. It was super light and I took a second test the same to be sure and got a BFN that same day even though I was. Each day after it got darker. I would def go Saturday and enjoy tonight. In the long run you will be glad you did.

Wait, you did a digital? Those are less sensitive than the other tests. Totally possible to get a BFN at 11 dpo and still be in the running. If you'd gotten a bfn on a pink-line test at 12 or 13 dpo, I'd say you were probably out, but not definitely. A digi at 11 dpo? Go out tonight and have fun and test again on Friday!

I am sorry...bfns suck. You will get stronger and wil get through this. I hate to say this but it will be helpful to you to realistically understand that it can take several Iuis before a BFP. Like someone earlier said, you are going to have to see the long road to keep sanity and strength.

I totally agree. IUIs can work, but don't work 100% of the time.

I totally agree. IUIs can work, but don't work 100% of the time.
I'm fully aware that they don't work 100% of the time, the first time or EVER for that matter but thanks for the reminder, because that is my only option at the moment. I don't think I was being unrealistic in hoping that after two and half years of trying that my first one just might work, I was actually trying to be optimistic.
