someone is taking YOUR kid to the ped. I don't care what goes on at home...you trust these people enough to take the kid-who cares what the kid is wearing???
there is no excuse for that type of behavior

Absolutely!
My mom and I have had more than our share of issues but it is EXTREMELY important to me that I keep that away from my children's eyes, even more than keeping it out of public view... because frankly, I don't care what strangers think but I DO care about what I teach my kids.

I agree, there may be more to it than meets the eye, but still, this is pretty horrible. Especially in front of the child.
My parents don't live nearby, nor do my other relatives. DSs relatives do, but are not into being grandparents basically. So I cannot in a million years imagine them coming over, getting him dressed, and taking him to the doctor for me. If they did, I really could care less what he was wearing--I would just be delighted that they took interest in him and offered to help.
I really don't have patience for people like this.

there may be more to the story but really to speak to her like that in a crowded waiting room is unnecessary,
it always amazes me the way some adults speak down to their parents,
and i dont get the furor over clothes you find unnacteptable, then why are those clothes even in your childs closet, if i don't like clothes i am given they are not put out with the rest of the clothes

As someone who ADORES her parents and can't stand to hear people VENT about their parents over nonsense stuff, I would of made a comment.
Grandparents ARE still parents and deserve to STILL be RESPECTED!!!!! Bottom line.
ETA: I dont care what the story may be at home. There is no excuse to disrespect your parents, in public, in front on of DC.
WE will all be granparents and inlaws one day. KARMA. Just saying
ITA!
