Just wanted to update on my forgetfulness...
So, last week I couldn't take it anymore. I was about to breakdown from not being capable of getting anything done or even remembering to brush my teeth some days. So, I went to the doctor, and she listened to me and agreed that she didn't think it was regular "mommy brain", that it sounded like it could be linked to my anxiety, so she put me on Cymbalta and told me that it should kick in quickly and help me. Then she said that she really wants me to see a psychiatrist though to make sure that the medication is the right one for my issues. So, one week later, I'm actually feeling a ton better! My mind isn't racing nearly as much and I feel a lot "clearer". I knew it wasn't just aftermath of having a baby because my mind would be racing even in my sleep. I have an appt. tomorrow with a psychiatrist, though, because I'm still having some anxiety, just not nearly as bad. So, we'll see what she does. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been so supportive because it was really difficult for me to admit something was wrong and go to the dr.  I'm just so glad I did because I'm starting to feel "normal" again (what ever "normal" might be )

sounds alot like what i was going thru almost a year post partum it was anxiety for me as well. Good luck.

Rachel, BRAVA!! I admire you.
Good for you for taking care of something that you knew was afffecting your every day life.
I have a racing mind myself  so I totally know how it can feel.
and I also think it's more than mommybrain in my case. (Regardless of what others think, we know our own minds and bodies.)

I am so glad you found some relief. You actually just got me thinking. My anxiety can get the best of me too. I might just have to make a dr. appointment. I wish you all the best. Thanks for sharing.
