Kanye's Recent Social Media comments
I think he gets attention for being an A-hole so he keeps being an A-hole!
I don't think he is mentally ill. I think he knows how to keep himself in the public eye and get people talking.

Recently, Kanye let us in on his personal struggle. He is 53 million dollars in debt and it doesn't look like he's going to get Mark Zuckerberg's help that he desperately needs. We must open our hearts and wallets for Kanye today. Sure he is personally rich and can buy furs and houses for his family, but without our help, the true genius of Kanye West can't be realized.
As Kanye West has told us time and time again he is the "greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time". Great artists need to be supported financially to achieve their full potential.
To quote Mr. West, "I am Warhol. I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation. I am Shakespeare in the flesh. Walt Disney. Nike. Google. Now who's gonna be the Medici family and stand up and let me create more!"

Honestly it sounds like a joke. Like sarcasm.
Like the guy wrote it as a joke and people are actually donating.

Exactly- it can't be for real! But yet they keep donating money. Shiiiit, I need a new boiler. I should make a GoFundMe. 
So if you look at the donations they are all advertisements. People donate 5$ and in the comments put a link to a business.
I read that Go fund Me says the $ has to go Kanye and Kanye won't take it. The guy thought he would take some for himself but, Go Fund Me says no way and says if Kanye won't take it, they will refund all the money. Either way it's stupid.
Also, I DO think he is mentally ill. He comments are gibberish. And I don't mean that I don't like what he is saying. I mean, total gibberish. There is no sentence structure. It's just words and random phrases strung together. My MIL is very mentally ill and when she has her "episodes" and needs to be admitted to the hospital.. she talks like that. Nothing makes any sense. Her mouth just pours out nonsense.
I also think he is generally an asshole. But, that could be mental illness too.
I heard that at SNL, Kim was called in to calm him down. He was ranting and raving and she had to quiet him. But, they are going to keep calling it "genius" rather than getting him treatment. It's nuts.
