Plus they live in PA - they are not paying the prices we are used to paying.
Gas is still over $2 a gallon out there and most food costs the same as here.
Hell, I know high school kids that get more than $5 a day in their pockets
And was this $5 limit while he was working and she wasn't?

Not for nothing but they have both said a zillion times how grateful and appreciative they are for the things they have received from doing the show. And I know if I was offered all of the free stuff- I would take it in a heartbeat. Those kids have had amazing experiences they wouldn't have had if their parents didn't start the show.

Now, I have never watched the show. I didn't even know their last names until he was photographed with the woman in the car.
However, how they have handled this thing since that "scandal" is disgusting. Kate clearly has her OWN best interests at heart. If she cared about her family, she would not be running to People, Us Weekly, etc... to tell her side of the story. She would be home, working on her marriage and retreating from the spotlight for the sake of her kids.
And he had done the same thing. While he isn't on the cover of every news show, he hasn't exactly shut this thing down.
So to me, this is either a publicity stunt for the new season (who had record ratings BTW), or they are two selfish people who are no better than Octomom and need to start focusing on their family instead of their fame.
I totally agree.
I also agree with Stacey - if I was pregant with septuplets & someone didn't feed me, there would be hell to pay.

She was on strict bedrest with a HUGE belly and she not only got up and drove herself to Jon's work to bytch him out for someone not being on time with her food??? That right there doesn't sound true. She had a huge belly ! How did she drive? I think alot of this crap is made up for whoever is selling their story

just thinking about that made me 
seriously her belly was huge and i dont think it would fit behind a sterring wheel. Also didnt she go into a hospital early on for bed rest.

Ok, I think this is just getting ridiculous now. It's just DH and I and I give myself $20 a week as spending money and DH saves his for our dinner out every weekend. Big whoopty doo that he only got $5 a day. I don't think that's unreasonable.
The media is making her out to be the bad one and I think it's both of them. I watched the show the other night and thought it was mighty convenient that Jon was driving a brand new 2 seater sports car. Very kid friendly! And the media mentions how much Kate travels, but one of the girls told Jon she wishes he were home more. It's BOTH of them, not just Kate and not just Jon. The media is just taking what's left of their marriage and destroying it. It's disgusting, especially considering there are 8 children it is impacting.

Doesn't say anyone forgot, says he was late.
Based on her personality the poor guy was probably 10 minutes late and she still raised hell.
$5 a day gets you less than 2 gallons of gas.
Even Subway comes to more than $5 after tax and thats without drink and chips.
I was making a joke!
Plus this info is in a tabloid that someone was paid for their info. I don't put much credence in that!

She had to sit in the back seat and had Cara and Maddy work the gas/brakes and steer.

It says she used to give him a $5 allowance. Who knows what time frame they are speaking of? Maybe it was when she was pregnant and out of work on bed rest? Maybe it was when they were trying to get pregnant again and going through their treatments which are VERY expensive. If that is the case then I 100% agree with it. And Jon wasn't always the bread winner. Don't forget that Kate was a nurse before deciding to stay home with the kids. So she was pulling her own weight and even perhaps making more money then him. Also, if it was prior to having the sextuplets $5 a day would have bought him lunch, and gas was less expensive. Plus I'm sure that gas was not part of the allowance. It was probably for his everyday coffee, breakfast, lunch, whatever. When DH and I are saving we brown bag it and we do limit ourselves to even less than $5 while at work. I personally don't see what the big deal is.
As far as the yelling at him about food, I can tell you that when I was pregnant with one child when I was hungry I wanted to eat!! And if someone was late with my food I was ******. I can't even imagine being pregnant with 6 and being on bed rest and having to wait for food.
Give the woman a break. The show makes her out to be an awful wife. They cut things to make it look even worse. Everyone feels bad for Jon, but I don't. I never liked him and have always felt like his was like whatever with their relationship.

I agree its both of them. But I don't think Jon is actually living at the house anymore, which is why the kdis say that to him.
kate said on the show that she was gone 3 weeks out of 4 and Jon was unhappy he was left home with the kids

I have to say I totally agree. They both have OFTEN said how appreciative they were for all the help they've received. I think just about anyone with 8 kids would have accepted all the free-bees they've gotten....myself included. I do believe they were grateful.

i believe he moved out that's why she said that. i wouldn't put blame on him for that! i think the whole issue is that she "put" him on a budget/allowance. to any man, that's emasculating. he should have some say in what he spends as well. she's very controlling and it's sad but one episode they showed a video of them before they had the babies (maybe just had the twins) and they DID seem very much in love and she didn't seem like such a b!tch. i put some blame on him as well.. but the blame i put on him is, staying with her for that long. nobody should put up with the verbal abuse that he does. it makes him look like a wuss and her like a monster.

seriously!
I try to keep my daily work spending under $10 a day and I have my own paycheck.
10 people on 1 salary! I'm thinking she wasn't being a control freak(i admit she is), she paid the bills and knew that it was beyond tight.
