Re: Kate's dress

I was blown away. She channeled Grace Kelly, one of the most beautiful brides ever. She was elegant, understated, beautiful.

Lucky girl-princess, wearing Alexander McQueen Chat Icon

Her sister Pippa was smokin hot as well. Beautiful family all around.

She definitely did not disappoint!

My only question is why wasn't this dress available when I was looking in 07! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I was just gonna post that pictures.

I am still not a huge fan of the dress, but this pic makes me like it a little more. I think i was hoping for something a little more grand. To me its seems like you can find this dress on a rack somewhere.

Stunning! Her waist looks so tiny!

She looked absolutely gorgeous!

Re: Kate's dress

She looked gorgeous and although the dress isn't one I would have picked for myself, it was beautiful and perfect for her. So classy.

Did anyone see her second dress? Also very pretty.

I love that detail picture.

I just watched the ceremony & I liked it better than when I saw still shots. I liked it anyway, but when she moves you can see how well it is cut & in the closeups you can see all the detail on the bottom.

I am sure it was even more beautiful in person-the quality of the silk & lace is probably impeccable.

Re: Kate's dress

Loved her dress. It's something that 30 years from now, we will loook back and think how gorgeous it was. I look back at Diana's and think how hideous her dress was.

Kate made the right choice!

Re: Kate's dress

I thought that Kate and her dress were both beautiful. It flattered her figure ( especially her tiny waist) so well.

If anyone else wore this dress, i wouldnt have liked it, BUT, she wore this dress like a regal, elegant, perfect princess. She made this dress what it is. She looked fantastic.

Couldn't agree more. She took my breath away!

Re: Kate's dress

Personally, I loved it. I think it perfect for the occassion & it absolutely TIMELESS> However, i also believe that the Royal wedding has rules. You can-not wear a sleeveless gown or show your shoulders in church. It is not proper. Which is also why they do their first kiss as husband & wife on the balcony not in the church. Im also certain about how much emotion & closeness are not allowed to be shown in church as well. Best left for behind closed doors. Remember that this is not your normal wedding. So its completely different.

this is the problem I had with my own dress- I went with very simple, cuz that's my style. Pictures did not do it justice- it barely showed any detail. Looked like a freaking white sheet. Chat Icon But in person you could see the detailing. So looking at my wedding pictures I get frustrated and wish I woulda gone with something different.

Not that I'm comparing myself to Kate or anythingChat Icon

It was perfect in every way and I would be more dissapointed if she had her hair up, tons of makeup, and a huge dress like Diana. This was her and you could tell it was her. SHe had to have been terrified to begin with so why would you choose a dress or look that makes you look just as uncomfortable as you must be feeling?

Timeless, classic, and perfect. Just looking at her style you had to assume it would be like this.

ITA. I think it was beautiful and perfect for her. I did not expect her to have a sparkly over the top gown at all. It's probably not a gown I would choose to wear but I absolutely love it for her.
