The trial must have been very, very hard. Kenneth is amazing....you all are amazing. He looks great. It was great to see the picture of him too. Many continued prayers.

Danielle,
The fact that Ken took the stand and did so with such dignity is amazing. He was so brave to do what he did, and hopefully he knows that. I am so glad that the jerk who did this to him was able to see exactly what he did. Hopefully it haunts him for the rest of his life. You guys are doing such a great job dealing with this, and you are all still in my thoughts!

My mother-in-law sent us the article from Newsday today about kenneth "taking the stand" in the trial. I was so amazed by his courage and ability to just do what he needed to do, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. I guess that is his personality, though!
It, seriously, made me naucious to see a picture of the guy who did this to Kenneth and to hear the comments the defense attorney made (about why Kenneth shouldn't have been able to be in court)...ugh! I give you a lot of credit for being able to face that in court over and over again. I really just hope justice is served here. I know it won't change anything in Kenneth's life, but I just think everyone needs to realize that there will be consequences for these kind of awful choices.
Anyway, glad to hear that Kenneth is making strides and still has his postive attitude!

Wow Danielle. I can't even imagine the frustration and sadness Ken must be feeling in regards to not being able to communicate and do as many things with his son as he used to. It must be so difficult for him, and it's terrible he has to go through that. It's nice that he has you guys to cheer him on and keep his spirits up, though.
BUT....WOW!!!! The rest of that update is fantastic!
That doctor that is working with Ken sounds SO optimistic! That is wonderful! It's also so nice to read that he's still making such great progress in such short periods of time!
I'm so happy for all of you!!
Good luck and be strong at the sentencing, Danielle. Hopefully that jerk will get the max sentence, which is still just a tiny fraction of the punishment he should be receiving.
You guys are all amazing! Keep it up!

It's great that you are able to always see the silver lining in every situation. Your positive attitude is really inspiring, Danielle!

Awww, I could only imagine how frustrating it must be for Kenneth to not be able to do all those things with Christopher. Are there any board games that they can play together? I know it's not the same as throwing around a ball but it's a start.

Danielle, you have no idea how much I appreciate (and I'm sure others do as well) your updates.
Your updates are emotional and make me cry but it's a happy cry (even with kenneth being upset at not being able to play with Chris). Even if the situation is a little sad....I always think of the whole picture. Your brother, and your family are amazing people.
