Kid Friendly Meals?
can anyone recommend a blog or website they follow for dinner ideas kids like. I feel like every single week we eat the same exact things....burgers...grilled chicken...ribs...chicken soup, pizza....broccoli, sweet potatoes and corn.
Everytime I try to make something different I feel like I spend time and then the kids won't eat it and I have to get up and make them one of the things I listed above.
Just need some help finding something alittle different from our normal meals that all of us can enjoy? btw dd is 4 and ds is 2.

Kid Friendly Meals?
I was always raised that you eat what's on the table or you don't eat at all. I was ONCE sent to bed without supper, I think I was 4 or 5 (it was before my parents separated when I was 6). I never gave a hard time about what was on the table again.... and I was given a PBJ sandwich a little later. That became the deal, you eat what's on the table or a PBJ sandwich.
with my sister (for whom I was the primary caregiver) it was totally different, probably because of her peanut allergy and only child feel (15 years between us and different moms/households) she ate 3 things at those ages: Pasta chicken nuggets chicken fried rice (I have no idea how this one even fit in the group, but she loved it).

Same here. Some of the favorites I follow are recipegirl, mom on time out, and catherine mccord (weelicious).
Honestly, I usually look at those toddler meal blogs and think that DD wouldn't eat at least 90% of that stuff. She's picky so I just make things that look good to me. She eats it or she doesn't. The only time I make her something separate is if she can't have what we're having bc it's too spicy or she's allergic.
Last night I did something I never thought I would and tried one of those ice cube tray meals. Threw in some of our roasted chicken and a bunch of leftovers and fruits and veggies. She was sick all last week so had not been eating much and had become even more picky so I was trying to break her out of that. Out of 8 or 9 things she ate the strawberries and that was it! An hour later when she was still hungry she went back and had the mangoes and one piece of pasta. Never again!
