Kids and superbowl party

Do you take your kids to SB parties? I don't watch football and could care less. But we were invited to my bfs friends house. I prefer not to put my kids to bed later than usual on a school night.

My older one (6.5), I'd definitely take to a SB party. My LO (15 mos), I wouldn't.

Re: Kids and superbowl party

My BIL and SIL celebrate my two nephews' birthdays every year with a Super Bowl party at their house. If I only had my oldest DD--she's 8--I would stay for the whole thing; she could stay up until midnight with no ill effects. My younger two (6.5 and 3) would be in pieces, however and so I leave at half-time and drive my MIL home as well. My DH stays and hangs out with his brothers, his five nephews, and his dad.

I think leaving at half-time seems like a good compromise for you too.

I always take my kids to Super Bowl parties. When they were little we left at halftime. Now that they are older we stay till the end.

Re: Kids and superbowl party

I wouldn't take a child under age 2 as there will likely be too much screaming and it would unnecessarily frighten a young child.
