Kids who ate baby food past a year
What's the latest everyone gave baby food to their DC? Just wondering since DS is 14 months old and still wants it, especially for dinner. Not sure if I should just cut it cold turkey or continue since he really doesn't like regular meat and veggies and only wants to eat puffs, pretzels, and breaksticks.

My son is 23 months old and we will supplement with baby food (veggies and fruit). He is a PICKY eater and my ped said it is fine. He is getting nutrients that he wouldn't eat from table food. We are working on getting him off though!

Honestly.... my DS is 2 1/2 and I still will give him baby food... fruits and veggies.
The only fruit he will eat that is not pureed is banana. The only vegetable he will eat that is not pureed is broccoli.
Sometimes I just want him to have some fruit or veggie so I still give him the baby food because he will pretty much eat anything pureed! 
I'm assuming this will not continue into adulthood!

Exactly the same here...DD ate her last jar of baby food right before her 2nd b-day I think. EVERYONE told me to stop giving it to her way before then, but there was no way she'd all of the sudden be fine with eating blueberries b/c I stopped blueberry baby food (for example), KWIM?
She still doesn't eat as many fruits as I'd like, and does still eat applesauce every day, but she's come a LONG way in a year.

thanks...I feel better. I know it's the only way he is getting his veggies...if I try to give him real food he spits it right out or refuses to put it in his mouth.

DS is almost 23 months....can't get the kid to eat a single veggie except for creamed spinach (which i make homemade & healthy for him!)! So we do all pureed veggies still!
Fruits he will eat banana, strawberries & blueberries. But he always has constipation issues so i give him pureed pears, peaches & prunes to help. He had a 2 month period where he would eat actual diced up eaches & pears but it stopped as suddenly as it started!
So as long as he will eat the veggies I don't care what the heck form they are in!!

DS is 20 months and still gets baby food for dinner we are trying to get him to eat more real food. He is picky at eating so with the baby food i know he is getting his nutrients.
My ped said at his 12 mos visit stop giving it to him and he will eat when he is really hungry. I don't agree so - he is eating baby food.
He will eat table food for lunch and eats all regular fruits, cookies, chips and fries. Just dinner is our issue :)

Mason is 11.5 months old and gags or throws up table food. If I put it on his tray he will refuse it. Only like the baby food so that's what I give him.
