kind of freaking
ok so for about a week ive been taking 1 benadryl a night, bc it helps me sleep. i thought it was safe to take. I just read in one of my books, it is not 100% safe and can cause withdrawls in newborns if taking a lot. It also said it can cause nueral tube defects and still births. Please tell me im overrreacting and everything is ok

Re: kind of freaking
I'm sure everything is ok and that you are in fact overreacting. Neural tube defects can occur only in the very beginning of pregnancy as that's when the neural fold and tube form. And given that you know it's a boy, you've passed this stage a long time ago.
Also, you're only taking one benadryl which isn't that much. And, if you are worried about withdrawl, just make sure you stop taking it before the baby is born.
I wouldn't worry, and I'm a major worrier :)
