Kind of off topic, but did anyone see Private Practice last night?
There was a couple who found out they have MF - he didn't have any sperm when they did his SA.But she is ovulating RIGHT NOW.
So in the SAME DAY (or maybe the next day ) they use some microscope technique and extracte ONE SPERM from his testicles, remove her ONE EGG and perform IVF. I mean could it have gotten any more unrealistic? I was so annoyed.

I thought the same as well. She was o'ing for like 3 days. I know it's tv, but really it did a diservice to all who are ttc.

There are a lot of dumb things with the IF clinic on that show. I didn't watch the episode yet, but I'm sure I'll be laughing with the rest of you!

I saw it. They had to cramp weeks and months of fertility treatment into one hour so BOOM BOOM BOOM. I get it. It is TV.
But what REALLY bothered me was that immediately after her IVF procedure, she considered herself PG, got in the elevator and went home la la la. Nowhere did the doctors tell her she had to wait and come back for further testing. The show simplified it all to a point where it could be very misleading. Shoot, even my DH knows it isnt that simple and we were both shaking our heads the whole time.

That show annoys me soooo much with th eIF stuff...Its sooo unrealistic..and it can so be easily researched, why do they have to put such fake info out there?
