Kinda Dumb ? for those nearing the end. (BTDT welcome)
Have you girls been wearing panty liners in case something goes down??
I just thought about all the things that can start happening (Bloody Show, Extra Mucous, Water breaking)...
Should I start putting on panty liners?
I'm 37weeks and 2 days.
Thanks!!

I started wearing panty liners during the first tri because of all the extra discharge and never stopped!

I guess I should go invest in some of those bad boys
I just realized after my 2nd internal that I was starting to feel much more crampy and things are going to start happening. I'd rather be somewhat prepared.
Oh the joys

I don't wear them, but I do have a heavy-duty pad in my purse at all times. Just in case.

I only started yesterday because the Dr said after the internal I might have some staining. I just didn't want to ruin my panties! But so far only VERY light, brownish staining yesterday and nothing today

have always worn them but especially important IMO now, not only for the 'just in case' purposes but also to see if something is happening.

I've worn something almost every day of this pregnancy because when I sneeze I pee. And I sneeze at least once every day.
It's actually not as bad now as it was in the beginning, but now it's a habit plus there's that yuckiness at the end.

no since from what i heard it wont help. i am however going to use one of soon to be DD's crib pads to protect my mattress in case it happens when i'm sleeping. hopefully DD will understand mommy needs to borrow it.

I had to wear panty liners from 20 weeks on due to discharge. Yuck. When my water broke (2 weeks ago...I can't believe it was two weeks ago already!) a panty liner would NOT have done anything. lol. I went through a few overnight pads before we even made it to the hospital.

Me three... Changing a pantyliner is easier than changing your panties a couple times a day!

Panty liners won't do a THING if your water breaks. Otherwise, the liners are good for any of the other slime

Yeah, I figured if my water were to break it wouldn't help...but maybe if I have a slow leak I will notice and be able to do something about it.
BUT I agree, it's more about the Bloody show/mucous type issues.
Thanks for the feedback everyone

I've been wearng panty liners from day 1... more stuff is just always flowing and leaking down there than normal.
(I've been a panty liner wearer for years anyway before getting pregnant, so this wasnt' really much of a change for me).

Poise pads here. Plus, I pee. ALOT.
To the OP, I don't think a liner's gonna cut it if your water breaks.

Re: Kinda Dumb ? for those nearing the end. (BTDT welcome)
I wore big pads towards the end of pregnancy #1 I was afraid of water leaking, or peeing myself. Turns out I didn't need them.

Re: Kinda Dumb ? for those nearing the end. (BTDT welcome)
I never wear panty liners and I never wore them for my last pregnancy either. I'm not a big "discharge" girl though (eww) I stay pretty dry throughout the day.
I didn't lose my mucus plug till right before my water broke when I was already in the hospital. I was already 10cm and ready to push. And like others have said... no panty liner will protect you once your water breaks! LOL
