Kinda Gross...Skin Tags
okay, so who has gone the DIY route when removing skin tags?
My hubby does it all the time, and it totally freaks (and grosses) me out at the same time...
However, I've been reading some notes online about others who have removed them on their own...
What's the "best" method causing the least amount of pain, but w/out going to a derm?

I had one that I clipped with a nail clipper
anther one was under my huge breast  so I had to go to a derm for that
Years ago I remember my dads derm tied a string (dental floss?) around one he had to cut off blood supply and it fell off in a few days

ive seen the good ole diy remover... my FMIL ties dental floss around it and covers it with a band aide. they usually fall off in a few days. she has small ones.. if its big i would go to the derm...

my husband performs surgery on himself (his tags) in the same manner...totally made me gag and freak at the same time!

I cant imagine doing this yourself. I would go to the derm....what if you do it and its gets infected?

I just had one removed at the Derm. She warned me against tying anything around them - she said she's sees a number of people who come in with the cord still tied around them trying to get it off so it does not always work.
Just be prepared to pay for the removal. I don't know how much, but insurance did not cover it (she did mine for free since i was getting other things done).
I barely felt it being removed.

This reminds me of when I was young and they wanted to tie a string to a loose tooth......just go to the Dr. It's soooo much easier and safer..... My insur. has always covered the visits....

 she had a band aide on her neck one day and i asked what she did.. she said- 'oo can you take the band aide off, i wanna see if its falling off.' i was like.. if whats falling off? your twin? does it have teeth and a spinal cord?' i got smacked and she was like noo my tag..
well it actually did fall off so i know this actually works.. have fun with this one!
