kinda parenting related....where can i get relatively cheap tshirts made???
We are walking in october to support jdrf in honor of my 3 1/2 dd who is diabetic...and so far we have 14 registered walkers (plus their kids, etc), so it is really closer to 25 counting kids and adult sizes...any ideas where i can get shirts made without costing us a small fortune????
any ideas would be great, it makes me feel bad that we have to spend so much $$ when I would rather put all of it to the cure...

Try Vista Print or Cafe Press maybe? Could you get someone to Sponser you and donate the shirts? Like a Sporting goods place?

When I did a walk for Breast Cancer, we made our own shirts. Not me personally... We bought white t-shirts at Michaels/AC Moore and iron on transfers. My friend made the design on the computer and printed them out using the iron on transfer. It ended up costing about 5 dollars per person..

its funny i thought of that and already did a logo thing, but wasn't sure how easy this was...likei could imahine me not ironing them on and wasting toms of $$$$

If you use your logo, most places will charge you a huge fee to have the shirts printed up. When I was in the fire dept, I was responsible for getting new shirts made. It cost over 300 dollars to just start things up!. Then 12 dollars per shirt. Now I don't know if things have changed in 10 years, but it is worth a shot to call around to some places...

 found one thats pretty good I buy from for camp stuff...no set up fees, but still....it is going to add up really quick....

I have made my own shirts plenty of times with the kits at Michaels's. IT IS SO EASY! you can do it. It is easier to make the ones for light fabrics than for dark, the kits are different.

I'm doing a t-shirt project with DS's Cub Scout den. I was looking at pre-made shirts, and I was a bit overwhelmed by the prices 
My plans are to get enough shirts for everyone from Michaels, get some fabric paint and markers, and I'll make a base stencil that everyone will use to make the main design, then they can use other things to customize it to their liking. The shirts are 2/$5.00, and the paint is pretty cheap, too, and we can use it for other projects later. (Plus, I can incorporate it into one of their requirements as well....   )

Vistaprint is great!
I agree with Michaels or AC Moore.
Also, I think your paricipants would be willing to pay for shirts.
When we do the Making Strides walk we have their logo on the front and our teacher's union on the back. I will find out how that works.

Making your own shirts is super easy, that's what I was going to suggest, too. If you wind up doing it, just make sure you line everything up well before you iron it on. I think that's the biggest issue, the rest is easy. GL!
