Kitchen cabinet door hinges

I know I'm in NC and it might not help me asking here, but I have been trying to find the right cabinet hinge for the cabinet doors in my kitchen. I have wasted some money, several trips back and forth to Lowes and Home Depot, but I can't seem to find the right hinge. The hinges I got now look great, but since they are made differently it's making the doors not sit flush with the drawer above it. The new hinge itself is thicker in the middle and where the hinge goes around to screw onto the back of the door it starts on the side of the middle part making it push over a bit since it's thicker. The older hinge, the part that goes on the back of the door starts on the back of the hinge instead of the side of it. It's so frustrating! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I can't spend a lot of money on these hinges and all that I'm finding online are at least twice as much per pair of hinges. Can anyone suggest another store (a chain) that might be in my area too so I can check out their hinges? Thanks!

Re: Kitchen cabinet door hinges

Have you tried taking the door off completely with the hinge on it so you can compare?

You should look on line. I had the same problem with a hinge for my daughter's dresser. We didnt even have a hinge to work with so it was near impossible to figure out what we needed. I kept trying and still not getting it right. There are a lot of different hinges - overlay, partial overlay, offset, partial offset - it makes it easier when you know what you are dealing with. Try this site so you can compare them.

We had the same issue, my DH had to order them online and they were super cheap so he got 2 just in case if another went.. I'll ask him for the website. I'm in GA. and I assume you are in a new house/construction?
