Kitchen renovation- phase 2 - cabinets and granite - with pics
This was done a couple weeks ago but I couldn't get the photos from Shutterfly (still can't - went a different route). Anyway, the cabinets were installed on a Thursday and Friday morning. The granite template was done Friday afternoon, we put the templates on the slab on Saturday and it was installed Tuesday morning. The cabinets are not done yet - there is one missing and the crown molding and shoe molding need to be done, the cabinet over the fridge has to be moved up (since we're getting a new, bigger fridge) and we need all the extras that go inside the cabinets (cutlery trays, lazy susan, etc). So far we love it - can't wait for it to be done! Not the best photos but here you go...
Here is the front wall of the kitchen - that's the front door on the left, stove in the middle, the space is for the dishwasher and the sink is in the corner (the missing cabinet is going to the right on top)
Here's the same view standing by the sink
Here's the stove area and the dishwasher will go in that space
These are the stove pull outs for spices
And a head on shot of the stove area
Here's the sink area and the space for the missing cabinet (and we still have to get a new door that leads outside to the patio)
Here's the opposite wall - pantry on the left, cabinet/countertop in the middle and fridge on the right (still haven't gotten the new fridge yet)
Here's the pantry open - lots of space - I think DH bought enough pasta for two years! The bottom half has roll out trays.
Here's the cabinet/countertop
Oh - forgot to add this photo - this is to the left of the stove, just to the right of the front door. We will put the microwave and toaster oven in the top cabinet (it actually goes all the way up to the ceiling).
And now a couple photos of the granite - it's actually so much prettier in person
OK - that's where we're at right now. Next up - appliances, crown molding, finishing touches. I think it will be a while until the backsplash gets done - still can't decide on that.
