Kohl's Question...
I love Kohl's.. especially when I see that I saved more than I spent when I use coupons or there is a big sale. DH says that Kohl's is JUST as expensive if not more than other stores & he argues that they increase their price so that they can sell it as a "sale" price. I disagree bc I feel like if I didn't have the coupon I'd be paying full price, so I DO end up getting a good deal... I hope all my rambling makes sense! LOL What do you think? Is it good prices?

Re: Kohl's Question...
I think Kohl's is a bit less expensive than other places. But, I do agree with your DH and believe their sale prices aren't as good of a deal as they make them out to be. But, when you factor in things like Kohl's cash and the additional sales they have (like early bird specials), the difference makes it worth it to shop there.

Re: Kohl's Question...
I think it really depends. You have to know your prices! I generally find I get the "deals" on baby/toddler clothing and frames. Sometimes toys also. If you have the patience to sort through clearance I've also gotten steals for DH (shorts for $5, shirts for under $10) and baby stuff (i just bought shorts for baby for less than $2).

Kohl's Question...
I agree that their sale prices are actually the normal prices those items should be to begin with. They are notorious for jacking things up and putting them 40% off for their "sale". However, I find that using a coupon in conjunction with the "sale" prices and Kohl's cash, make for good deals. I just got a 30% off in the mail that starts tomorrow, so when I combine that with whatever the sale price is, I think I'll make out good.

Re: Kohl's Question...
Kohl's seems to have a market strategy that stuff is ALWAYS on sale for one percent off or another. I have never walked into Kohl's EVER and paid the price on the ticket. It's always 20-40 off the ticket price- which to me is a "fake" price. You make out though if you have a 30% off coupon on top of that and then you sometimes also get Kohl's cash. But there is no way those leggings for my daughter were EVER $24 like the ticket says. Because they never charge that.

Kohl's Question...
I think it's cheaper than a Macy's or Bloomies but, inline with a JCPenney.
I do find though that the prices are cheaper when they don't have a 15%, 20% or 30% off sale so if you don't have a 30% coupon, you are better waiting until after the sale is over and buying during the next sale.

Yeah, frames are crazy cheap there if you have a coupon! I think my family is tired of getting pictures for holidays.

Kohl's Question...
I make out really well with kohls whenever I have a 30% off code to use on top of sale and clearance prices, especially with clearance prices. I agree with others though that you can't really go by their original prices because everything seems to always be on sale. However, they do sometimes have better sales and change the % off on items.

Re: Kohl's Question...
I agree with your DH. I find the only time I think their items are worth it, is when it's on clearance with a coupon. Some items are cute, but I find for the quality, way overpriced.

Re: Kohl's Question...
I like them but find that they are really hit or miss in general.
They remind me of the outlets in a sense.........if you go there with something in mind that you need, often they are not going to have it in stock.
And also for their quality level, I agree with the other ladies that the sales price WITH coupons is what the item should really retail for.
