Question about Kohl's cash

I ordered like $80 worth of stuff from kohls.com today, and apparently that earned me $10 in Kohl's cash. I know I'll be returning some items (I ordered boots in 2 different sizes to see which fit), so my return will make my initial order less than the required amount for Kohl's cash. how do they handle this if I already spent the Kohl's cash?

Not sure how it's done on line...but in the store you can get a store credit so you can keep the Kohls cash.
ETA: Can you return it to the store to get a store credit?
