Ladies - need your advice
My husband and I are heading to SIL's house fro Christmas. She lives in Selden and we live in Queens...Since its on Monday and a lot of people are going back to work the next day (including us) we are debating as to when we should leave her house in order to not sit in traffic for eternity (we'll be taking the LIE).
Do you suggest leaving at like 8-9pm, or a little later, at like 11-12am?

You're probably better off leaving later, like 11pm-12am.
Most people have to work the next day and wont be leaving that late to go home Im sure.

I do this commute almost every weekend (Old Westbury to NYC)
You should definately leave later. Trust me.

I live in Queens and my mom lives in Coram - wanna carpool!?!
Most of the time we dont leave before 11PM on Christmas because of the traffic.
