I had a c section with my first and one thing you definitely need are the thickest and longest sanitary napkins you can find. I think Kotex super over nights are good. Oh and if you plan on breast feeding the lansinoh cream helped ease the tenderness although alot of hospitals will have some small free samples. Other than that all the usual stuff. HTH

Also, I'd pack some granny panties - definitely no low cut underwear b/c it'll just irritate the incision. If you are nursing, bring your boppy/nursing pillow, nipple cream and nursing bras (I like the soft sports bra type the best). I wish I brought more sweat pants/yoga pants (again, not too low cut) and loose t-shirts for after you stop sporting the lovely hospital gown. Just remember, you'll still be swollen and have a belly, so pack clothes from when you were 5-6 months pregnant. You could bring your own pads, but I just used the hospital ones. You won't even mind that they are three inches thick!
