Mommy guilt is the worst thing ever invented!!! But, sometimes you need to be selfish and do things for yourself and in the end it will make you a much better person and in turn an amazing Mommy!!! Chat Icon

DD will be in great hands!!! Chat Icon

I can understand how you can feel that way. I don't have much experience or advice but I think your DD will do fine especially with your DH. Sounds like an opportunity you shouldn't pass up. Good luckChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm sure it will be tough to leave DD, but think of how awesome of an opportunity this will be for you. One day you can sit her down and tell her about it. She'll be thinking how it is to have a mom who's an opera singer and was able to go on tour. You'll be setting a great example for her to follow her dreams. She will be in awesome hands. I know it seems like a lifetime, especially when you have a child. But you don't stop being a person just BECAUSE you are a mom. If anything, think of the wonderful example that you are setting for your daughter, that she can have a family and have a life.

To make it easier, can you borrow a laptop and a webcam? When I travel, I call my husband with my webcam and he puts the baby on the screen so he can see me and vice versa. You can use a free program like Skype, as long as you have internet access wherever you are staying.

Re: Ladies I am really starting to second guess myself

You leave DD home because you have a gift - one that needs to be nurtured and shared with the world. Sing your heart out, enjoy your 9 weeks and know in your heart that a happy mommy = a happy baby AND your child is in the very capable hands of her daddy and her grandparents.
