Ladies I have a question about spotting/breakthrough bleeding while on the pill

so I have been on the same pill for almost 3 years and NEVER EVER spotted in between EVER!!!
so I am on day 10 of the active pill and have a full blown bleeding today.....is this normal?? why is this happening? Am I overreacting?

did u mess up on your pills at all? sometimes i will spot a little if i dont take it right. if you dont get AF by the time your due... POAS

I've been on my pill for EVER and the last six months or so I get spotting midway. Told the MD and he said it is fine/normal. He can change me RX, but that is the only problem that I have ever had so I didn't want to change it.

ETA This is just spotting, not full blown though.

I was on the pill for years and I only started to have spotting as I got older. I have it often now.

Yes, I have it sometimes too. Especially if I miss a pill and double up the next day. Even if I'm only off 5 hours or so, it happens.

I was having some spotting after being on one pill for a few years. I brought it up to my doctor and we changed it. I still have some slight spotting but it's getting less and less each month (I assumed my body needed time to readjust)
