Ladies nearing the end - Lower belly pain?
The lower part of my belly hurts - a lot. It feels muscular - like the stretching aches from the first tri, just worse. I'm fine - not bleeding or cramping - just like I am really being stretched. I have felt this once or twice before in the last week or two, but never this bad. It always went away. Hopefully this will feel better in the morning.
I doubt it is contractions, since I hear those hurt or feel tight all over and this is really just at the very bottom.
Could it be the weight of the baby taking a toll on my body? Is she trying to drop? I have an OB appointment tomorrow night and if I was really worried I'd call the doctor. Just wanted to know if anyone else feels this? Not sure if my placenta previa has anything to do with what I'm experiencing. I'm in the middle of my 36th week. TIA!

Re: Ladies nearing the end - Lower belly pain?
im 39 weeks tomorrow and ive had a dull aching on the underside of my belly. is that what you feel too? it comes and goes but was pretty bad the last few nights. im assuming its the baby getting lower and sitting funny. it doesnt hurt so much that it warrants a phone call to the dr but its definitely uncomfortable.

Absolutely on the underside. I assume it is her weight because when I walk, it feels better to hold it. I;m trying to stay off my feet.

I actually had that yesterday and I am 34 weeks. Its really really low and it feels like my muscles have a bowling ball resting on it Yesterday I had to sit down because it was so bad.

Yes, it's normal. I think it's from the weight of the baby but I'm not sure. I remember having it with my son.
