ladies of babies born in september/october/november
if you are planning on going back to work, i'm assuming you have gone back already, if not getting ready to!
wanted to see how everyone was feeling about it & what they planned on doing as far as childcare
i go back to work jan 31st & right now, i'm looking forward to it... i always thought i wanted to be a SAHM, but i think these past 13 weeks have changed my mind... dont get me wrong, i LOVE DS to death... but i just feel like i need to work -- i need that routine & adult interaction daily, KWIM?
MIL is watching DS 2 days a week & the other 3 he'll be in my job's daycare

Re: ladies of babies born in september/october/november
I felt the same way.
I thought it would be hard to leave her but I transitioned it for a week and really by mid week I was fine. I had a late Aug baby and went back early Dec. Really she just wanted to be fed, held, changed, and talked to. I thought it had to be me, but it didn't.
I loved going back to work. Felt like I was part of society again, etc. Adult conversation, meaningful work.
Sure I love AJ to death and I still think SAHM are insanely skilled and I'm somewhat jealous that they can handle it. Its just not for me.
Even at 2yrs old. If I'm off work, she will go to daycare (mostly to keep her on schedule and after all I've paid for it) but we have tons more quality time now here in Texas so its not like I never see her.
I don't feel guilty about liking to work. Working puts food on our table, keeps her clothed and hopefully I'm a good role model.

ITA with everything you said... some times i feel very guilty about wanting to go back -- i feel like i should be crying thinking about it or something... but im not --
im looking forward to a new routine with DS -- i think the balance is going to be really good for me
