Ladies that SAHM do you make any money?
Like do you do odd and end jobs to make some extra dough?
I'm asking b/c I am considering staying home after DD is born but will need to make some money to pay utilities since DH pays the mortgage.

Yes - I sell Avon, I babysit a couple days a week and I occasionally make invitations (or stuff like that)

I babysit 1-2 Sundays a month, I work 5 hours and get $100 ,so it's pretty good.

I do some consulting work on the side for the company I worked for before having kids. Excellent money and all on my own schedule. Since DH is home on Tuesday's, I sometimes go into the office that day to socialize!

I actually work from home. I am an attorney and the company I work for has allowed me to work from home and I still get my entire salary. To me, it is the best of both worlds. I work on my own schedule, my career is intact and I get to be with my DD.
I was very surprised they let me do this. You never lose anything by asking.

I consider myself a SAHM but I do work 12 hours a week in a dental office as an RDH. For the little time I work I make good money that really helps out.

I just started babysitting for my very good friend. I make about 100 a week. But it is a big strain on me energy wise. My friend works nights so I have her 1 month old DD from 4pm to 1am M-F.

I have my photo business and I'm so glad that it is working out so well - so is DH
My money goes for gifts, weddings, clothes,shoes, doctor visits.......its a huge load off my hubby and I get to buy myself stuff that I wouldn't normally ask for b/c its frivilous (not that I do but its nice to know I can). Plus I get to "spoil" the kids a bit so its nice.
I just think its great for me to do something I love and have a "life" outside of my kids - yes I make money doing it but the happiness it brings to me is priceless.

I just started making photocards/invites/announcements in photoshop finally for some $$$. It's not much, but to me it's not the money that matters, i am doing something i love to do! I call it more of a hobby that has some returns every once in awhile.

Not this year. I will go back to work again in Sept.  When I have more kids I may just tutor. I can take up to 2 years maternity per child.

I dont have any advice on how to earn extra $$ other then maybe babysitting?
i work part-time (16 hours a week) doing contract work as an OT in the schools. Its great $, great hours but i went to school for it and have my masters. I knew when i was going for it that it would pay off when i wanted to have kids, but I didnt realize what a blessing it really would be.

I thrift and re-sell....I find all sorts of name brand stuff at Goodwill and re-sell it on Ebay. Sometimes I hit the big time and sometimes the profit is just a little, but every penny counts.
I also work on-call at a consignment store at night when she needs me and sometimes I use the pay as payment for stuff on layaway

same here, I work 18- 20 hours a week but only for another 4 weeks then I will go down to 14 (3 days) till I give birth.
