Ladies who had a C-Section..

When would you say you were completely healed and felt back to normal?

the pain/achy feeling went away after maybe 6 weeks, but I still had that strange numb feeling near my incision for almost a year

I guess both. I feel like I am getting back to normal but i'm afraid to start working out because I dont want to open anything.

I may be in the minority, but I felt really good by 2 weeks. I didn't start working out (more than walking) until 6 weeks though.

Re: Ladies who had a C-Section..

With my first DS I felt great after week 1 and this time around I felt 100% back to normal at about 2 1/2 weeks. Those were the two longest weeks of my life because I was in so much pain.

Re: Ladies who had a C-Section..

I felt almost normal by 4 weeks and was able to start exercizing by 6 weeks. I wouldn't do anything relating to exercize until you go for your 6 week appointment.

I was beginning to think I was the only one...I'm 6 1/2 months PP and still have LOTS of tenderness and definitely numbness. Chat Icon I even hate washing the area, it feels weird...

ETA: I guess I should say though that my entire incision opened up a week or so PP and didn't even close until 8 weeks. That could be why.

my doc gave me OK in 6 weeks, but I waited 3 months before doing any kind of a work out or anything. I am 7 months pp and it still feels sore.

Re: Ladies who had a C-Section..

I didn't feel ok until about 8 weeks, but I think that was because I got an infection so it took longer for my incision to heal. I'm almost 12 weeks PP and I still get pain every once in a while.

Re: Ladies who had a C-Section..

My first one I felt 90% at 4 weeks (the other 10% the slight soreness, numbness takes awhile)

the second one I forced myself to start walking at 2 weeks. I wasn't feeling great, but I did it anyway, by 6 weeks I was running.

Re: Ladies who had a C-Section..

Around 2 weeks I felt completely normal but at times I still get a sensation in the area....not painful just annoying.

Re: Ladies who had a C-Section..

After 4 1/2 months I still randomly get that achy feeling sometimes, esp. when it is damp/rainy out. However, I would say it took a good 6-8 weeks for me not to really feel sore.

Re: Ladies who had a C-Section..

I was no where near ready for a real work out until at least 10 weeks later. I had a very different c-section though, and the Dr told me normally after 6 weeks it is OK to work out.

Re: Ladies who had a C-Section..

I had complications so it wasn't until 4 months for me. I hope no one else ever goes through what I did with my incision re-opening and taking 3 months and several treatments to heal.
