I was on BCP for 6 years.....I went off of my BCP July 6th and around 14 days later got pregnant!!

I was on BCPs for 10 years prior to TTC. My cycles were so irregular once i came off the pill. There was no pattern to them for the 8 months we were TTC. Some cycles were 30 days, my longest was 48 days. I had bloodwork done, but when it came back normal, I decided to try OPKs. That did the trick. We got pregnant 8 months in, and it was definitely because I was able to identify when, in my crazy long cycles, I was Oing.

I was on the pill for about 7 years before TTC. I went off and starting taking prenatal vitamins 3 months before TTC. I am not sure if my cycle was really regulated before we started trying. 1st cycle I had my period for 1day, 2nd cycle, 2days, 3rrd cycle 4 days...we tried after the 3rd cycle and got pregnant right away! We are very blessed. I have 2 friends however, who immediately TTC after they went off the pill and BOTH got pregnant instantly...it all depends on what your OB recommends, some really like you to wait, while others say go for it. Was on the pill for 10 years, with a year-long break about halfway through, went off the pill June 2008. My periods never regulated - had 30 day cycles, 60 day cycles, and everything in between. Bloodwork confirmed I was ovulating, but OPKs didn't pick it up so we had some obvious timing issues since we couldn't figure out when I was ovulating. Started my first cycle of clomid, didn't seem tp affect the timing of ovulation at all - my doctor even upped my dosage for round 2 - but I never got my period. Instead, we managed to get lucky - got a BFP on CD 51. A co-worker on the other hand got pregnant the first month off the pill so truly, you just never know.

Was on pill, then shot, then patch for 10 years. My periods were completely irregular before then. Once I got off, I was regular take 2/3 days. Stopped BC March 07 and got preggo March 09. We did infertility treatment which started Nov 08.
