I find no need for it. I would never do it. I would cover as much as possible.

Although, i am not comfortable being naked in public,I am certainly not "grossed out" by seeing another woman naked. What's the big deal?

Umm, I could NEVER EVER get naked in front of a room full of people, although i suppose it's normal to do so in a locker room...and like Jennie said, I can't even imagine what naked azzes have been sitting on the benches and the like. I've ALWAYS changed in a private changing area or a bathroom.
And as far as the naked azzes on the benches...I wear flip flops in the showers (when I work out at work) because you don't know what scuzzy feet have been on the floor!

It was even worse for me, because as a worker they wanted to ask me questions. I used to avoid the lockerroom at all costs and tried to shower when it was off peaks!
OMG! I don't think I could answere any naked person's questions with a straight face!
Sometimes I think it's quicker, just to take everything off & but everyhting back on, instead of holding up a towel & wriggling into undies, as I used to do when I swam, but I don't like to be bottom-less in a locker room.
I try & face the locker, to change my bra.

A company I worked for had a nice employee gym and some of the women would be stark naked in the locker room. It was awkward b/c sometimes an hour later you'd see them in a meeting. I stopped going to that gym, even though it was really nice and free.

I went to the spa at Chelsea Piers and there is also a gym there. A lot of women were walking around naked.
Personally, I couldn't do it. I don't see why it's neccessary. And I do feel a little uncomfortable being around it. I just look straight ahead and continue with what I'm doing.

I am ok with changing and letting the boobies show in a locker room, but not the bottom half. I would just change though, probably wouldn't walk around topless.
I don't see any problem with it though. It is very American to be embarassed/grossed out by nudity.

I am not "grossed out" by nudity but I am just a more conservative person when it comes to my body. I have gained weight in recent years but even when I was younger with a smokin' hot bod, I still didn't show it off. I simply don't feel comfortable. It isn't a knock against people who ARE comfortable, it just isn't me.

i will change at the locker but turn so that i'm not facing the public.
I understand it's a locker room, but it's the women who have conversations, do their hair and all other things completely naked. if your just walking to and from the shower or changing at your locker- no big deal.
but the ones walking or standing around make me a bit uncomfortable because you feel like you don't have anywhere to look, hehe.
my mom taught us to be very private, i don't think she's even seen me naked since i was a kid! hehe.

I worked in a gym for a few yrs and have seen this a lot. Seen it...but never did it. When I would work out and need to shower I would have a towel wrapped around me before showering and after. Than go into the stall and dress. Nobody needs to see my naked a$$ but my DH.

I belonged to NY Health & Racquet for years and I've seen ladies stark naked in the gym locker room - all the time in fact.
I could never do it and I always had a towel or two wrapped around me.
I never saw a coworker naked but many of them went around the same time as me.....but we all purposely did not get lockers near each other
I started going at 8 a.m. after seeing a male partner is spandex biker shorts in an aerobics class in the evening

It never really bothered me until I saw one of the regulars from my class in there and happened to be standing closer to her than usual and she had hairy nipples. It was long hair. I was nauseated and then became more bothered by the nudity.
My sister was once chatting in the locker room with someone from class and as the girl was speaking she popped in a tampon. Go into a stall for that!!!!!!!!!

I would mostly be afraid that someone will take a pic of me with their cell camera.
Yes, I am sure there are even creepy ladies with cell phone cameras just waiting to take a pic.
I would be very wary nowadays esp with such cameras everywhere.

Well, I didn't want to gross out everyone here, but this is what I saw last night that made me finally think "Am I REALLY the only person who thinks this is all just weird"...and, remember, there isn't even a door to our ladies locker room. You just turn one corner and then 1 more corner and there it is!
