My husband works for a Finnish company. He is part of the management team and whenever they have these offsite sessions in Finland, they go to the sauna together. All of these men and women who WORK together, go to the sauna and talk while they are COMPLETLY NAKED. I told my husband that I would quit first.
The men and women TOGETHER?
That wouldn't fly with me either -- or my husband!

What about being NEXT to these people? Last night, this lady was buck naked right in front of the locker my purse was in. I felt SO GROSSED OUT having to walk over to her and say "SCUSE ME"

Although, i am not comfortable being naked in public,I am certainly not "grossed out" by seeing another woman naked. What's the big deal?
Well I was the one who said "grossed out" so i guess you're referring to me..
I don't think the human body is gross. But i do think at 9am witnessing naked women chatting with one another with EVERYTHING hanging out (lets just say i saw massive amounts of hair ) then yes it grosses me out. I don't understand why people can't change in a stall. I don't need to see your birthday suit

I agree. Be naked to change is one thing. Hanging out like that, sitting like that, chatting like that is another. And grooming is always nice...and not so nice when not done.

Ok, to clarify, the men go into one sauna. The women into the other. So all of the men are naked together. My DH went once and said that he had the image of those fat middle aged bald men naked in his head everytime he met with them. Out of desire to keep his job, he doesn't go anymore.

Yes, I see this all the time at the Y in GC. It is very common, especially b/c of changing in and out of bathing suit for swimming. I go to the changing area though!!

I've been to many many gyms and never saw this until I joined the gym at Columbia University. I think it's a gym "culture"
