Lancaster Review - Added Pictures

We went this weekend to see Thomas. We stayed at Best Western Eden Resort - - -

AWESOME! Everyone must stay there when they go Chat Icon SUCH a nice resort. Clean, SO helpful. We had one of the joint suites, with a patio right outside the pool area (great spot). The pool area is AWESOME, Joey had so much fun playing in the new sprinkler area. They have waitress service at the pool, lifeguards and staff that would just ask you if you needed anything. The playground area was great too. We ate dinner at Garfields Saturday night in our hotel, it was very good food and fairly inexpensive. My one negative, I would not eat breakfast at Arthur's. . we did not enjoy it at all.

Thomas - I'll keep this short. They definitely had more this year then when we went 2 years ago, however Joey was so tired and Thomas was not enjoyable for us. They were running 45 minutes late, then once we were on the train, they started to move and then stopped for about 10 minutes while they waited for another train to pass! It was AWFUL! Kids were screaming all over at that point b/c they were all stuck staring at nothing! We would've done more with him but he needed to sleep BAD & I also had reached my breaking point at that moment in time!

So off we went to Hershey which was only a half hour away. (he slept the entire way and then slept on me once in the park, that's how tired he was) but once he woke we had SO MUCH FUN! They had a lot more rides then I thought for the little kids, Joey loved them all. We went to a sea lion show with him and then went to the water park area. . .best.time.ever. It was worth paying the 50 bucks to see Joey's face in the water park area. He kept going down one of the water slides & I'd catch him at the end of it and he'd say "FUN mama, FUN again" I get teary just thinking about how much fun he had.

so all in all. . .*I* think I'd skip Thomas. I think it was fun to do once and I wouldn't do it again Chat Icon (let me also just say, Joey also kind of phased out of his Thomas phase)

There is def. A LOT to do in Lancaster and I would def. go back!

(only showing this for the water area at Eden. I look just fat and not preggo!!! ugh lol)

Re: Lancaster Review

AWWW sounds like you had a blast! I am so happy you posted your review. We are going soon and love to hear the good review about Eden. We stayed there last year but the new water area wasnt there. Did you have a villas? Or were you in the main part of the hotel?

What was bad about arthurs? We ate there last year bc we didnt know where to wat breakfast and it was just easier in the hotel (we stayed in the hotel part last year this year we got a villa).

Glad about your great time in Hershey. We plan to do Hershey and Dutch while we were there.

And thanks for the Thomas pointersChat Icon

How many hours did you stay in Hershey? How old is your son? DD is 2 yrs.

Did you eat dinner IN hershey or back at Eden?

Sorry for all the questions!!Chat Icon

Glad you had a great timeChat Icon

*We stayed in the main part of the hotel.

*It was just not good. The french toast was nasty and even Joey's pancakes didn't taste great. I also am not a big fan of buffet but there breakfast menu prices were pretty close to buffet price (of course). Our waitress was great though haha!

* We stayed for 5 hours. He is 19 months. Your DD will probably be able to go on even more kiddie rides.

*We ate dinner at Garfields Saturday night. We had a snack while in Hershey. (got sandwiches are sheetz right before we went to the park)

I know, but I think bc his arms are crossed, he just looks really miserable! When I saw it on your FB page last night, I must have LOL for like a good 5 minutes, and I kept going back to it. Best picture ever!

I am so excited to go! We're not staying at Eden (which is fine b/c DS hates sprinklers Chat Icon) but that's good to know about Thomas. We did Hershey 2 years ago and we're doing DW this year. Love Hershey!

Sounds (and looks!) like so much fun! We're going to Hershey later in the summer and now I can't wait!

PS...I was so under-impressed with Thomas too...we went last year.
