Last minute getaway
Anyone have any ideas for a last minute getaway with the kids before school starts in September? Travel is by car, no more than 6 hours away (from Queens, NY). Any ideas will be helpful! Thank you in advance!

Hershey Park!! We went last weekend with dh's daughter (who is 8) and we had a blast! We also went to Indian Echo Caverns which is just a few minutes away from the park. We were there for 3 days.

Dorney Park or Hershey Park in PA! That's where we just went last weekend!
ETA: Maybe camping? There's a great one on the Delaware River called Jerry's Three River Campground. You can go canoeing and everything there!

I second the Hersehy park trip, great place, you can do a day at chocolate world and the amusement park, then a second day just at the water park. You can either go to echo caverns, or we are thinking of going to gettysburg next time we go. Have Fun!

Thank you for all the wonderful ideas! I think we've decided to spend a few days in Philadelphia. We'll do some historical sight seeing, the aquarium in Camden, museums, and plenty of eating!
