Having been a six pounder too, I think you are going to be fine. You know how overly cautious these doctors are these days with all the malpractice suits.

PLEASE remember that sonograms can't tell the weight exactly! They are only estimates....
PLENTY of mommies here had sonos done in the end and they were WAY off.
Everything will be fine!!!
My SIL boys were both 9 lbs plus and she did it naturally and one was without an epi!!

Thanks Girls.
I go back next Thursday for a bunch of tests - they want to make sure that the baby's belly is growing, if not they are going to probably induce me.
So hopefully we will know more next week, I have a feeling it is going to be a long week

Marcie my doctor measured Animal at 5lbs 4oz last week...meaning she only gained 2oz in a week. He was concerned about wether Animal was getting the nutrients she needed. Well he measured her this past Tuesday and she came in at 6lbs 7oz!!!!!!!
He said obviously the sonogram from the week before was off...so you never know

oh marcie!! I sent you am fm last night but didn't read this until today...sorry I have been out of the loop! maybe you can count it as a bad week for appts...and that they are scaring you for no reason! I hope everything works out.....and am here if you need me!!
ps - you wouldn't be going on the 9th for a sono now, are you???  guess who else is???

I am sure everything will be fine. You can not always count on a sonogram for accurate readings of weight.

Marcie, Im sorry! Try not to worry!! YOu know I went through this growth-sono-thing first hand - and Im proof that they can be reallllly wrong with their measurements. Hnag in there, I"m sure your little bean is just fine!!
