Re: LCD TV ... what one do you have? how is the quality?
LCDs are now up to 46 inches. You can get plasma up to 65 inches.
If the TV is in a bright room with lots of windows there are more reflections on a plasma screen, which has a glass shiny cover. Those light reflections drive me crazy, so we decided to get the Sony Bravia LCD instead of a plasma. It was right next to same-sized plasmas in the store and I couldn't see any difference in picture quality.
Something else to consider -- you should also look at the frames to see if there is one that will fit in better with your decor. Some are silver, some are black, some are shiny, etc...

We have the 46' Sony Bravia. My DH just mounted it to the wall. We bought a beautiful media console for underneath. We LOVE it.

I agree with this! Light reflections also drive me crazy. Plus I heard that plasmas are a lot more sensitive with handeling. I am not sure if it is true, but I was told you couldn't turn it a certain way and touch the screen. My ds has handprints all over the lcd already. We didn't want to worry about a plasma burning out.

make sure you get a 1080i or something. Also you need an HDMI cable to hook it up it makes a HUGE difference and an HD box from Cablevision if you have them.
Great advice! We did this, we have 2 Samsungs & we love them.
