You know what I don't like? That she covered a song that is still in recent release by the original artist/songwriter. What's the point in that? Let Adele have a little bit of her glory before you go trying to say you can do it better.
Her version is fine.. but Adele's is WAY better... not even because of the tone or technique.. but because you can feel the soul in Adele's version. She lived it and she feels it.. LeAnn is just singing a song.
I agree. Also I hate LeAnn's stage presence. Whats with the butterfly hands and the closed eyes. I think she has an "ok" voice. Really, its nothing special IMO.

and i have to admit i change it every time adele's version comes on the radio there is something about it i just can't stand
i find leanns version much more tolerable

I don't see the big deal about her covering a current song...LOTS of artists cover songs, past and present.
If you read the comments below, one poster wrote that she was at the event and before LeAnn sang the song, she had kind words about Adele. I see it as she likes the song and respects Adele as a singer--don't see anything wrong with that.

I happen to like LeAnn Rimes.
Her version is fine but knowing Adele's version, it is really just OK
I feel Adele's version is just a different level. Much more emotions into it. The song really fits Adele's better.

Yep. I love Adele's voice but she does not sing healthily. She had a vocal hemorrhage. I'm a singer and literally got the chills when I heard why she cancelled the tour. If she doesn't get a great voice teacher and start living a healthier lifestyle it could be the end for her career.
LeAnn has a fabulous instrument. Well trained and healthy. I took her pulling back on the "Don't forget me, I beg.." moment as an artistic choice.....Good choice I thought.
 Totally agree with all of this!

It's not a 'big deal' at all. Especially since she hasn't gone and recorded it. But I still think she would have been better served singing her own stuff. No reason to sing someone else's song while it's still in wide release from an artist that is only just getting play here in America. But whatever.
I still think Adele put more 'heart' into it than LeAnn - but I would never say she has a bad voice because she doesn't.

Nope your not... I dont see the massive appeal for this song. Its just okay in my opinion. And now, it is so overplayed on the radio Im getting really sick of it.

No...this is not working for me. She can't do this song justice. Only Adele can sing it the way it's meant to be sung. Plus, her stage gestures are annoying and I want to slap her to sit straight up - that leaning bothered me 
Also, Adele's albums are amazing - I loved this song much more before it was released. Although, I won't turn the station when it comes on right now - I'm almost at that point.

I don't think LeAnn even comes close to the emotion behind the song. When I first heard Adeles version I was blown away. I don't know...you can tell through Adeles songs that she is singing about something so real to her..something she has lived through and listening to LeAnn, I don't know..she doesn't have a BAD voice, but i find her whiny and just doesn't come across as genuine in her emotions.
but what the hell do I know? LOL. I adore Adele. Amazing amazing artist.

She definitely does. I saw her sing it live and she actually went a few steps down on that part.

She definitely does. I saw her sing it live and she actually went a few steps down on that part.

It lacks ALL the soul Adele has when she sings it.
This was not good at all.
FTR, I think LeAnn Rimes has a great voice. I just do NOT like this version of it at ALL.
