leaving for our first family vacation next Saturday and I have a packing question
DS is almost 15 months. We went to Mystic for one night 2 weeks ago but this is our first week long trip, we are going to Ogonquit, ME. I am not so nervous about the 5 hour trip, he was good on the 3 hour drive to Mystic. I am nervous about packing for him though. We are renting a beach house so I will have a washer/dryer, although I am not sure I will feel like doing laundry on vacation. How does this packing list look-
8 T-shirts 8 pairs of shorts 2 sweatshirts for the evening a pair of sweatpants 7 pairs of pajamas socks diapers, wipes, desitin 4 bathing suits crocs sneakers sunscreen shampoo/body wash his lovey sippy cups, bottles his snacks fisher price booster seat beach toys pack and play humidifier for bedtime DH's ipad for his yo gabba gabba fix before bed. bug spray beach towel
I feel like I am missing something. I know there are probably Wal Marts and grocery stores nearby, but I would rather have as much as possible when we get there. We do plan on going food shopping for the week when we get there. TIA!

leaving for our first family vacation next Saturday and I have a packing question
I packed all medicines and a first aid kit because although there may be a CVS nearby - I didn't want to have to go out late at night or in the middle of the night if something was needed.
Also, I got a few small new toys to distract him in the car. Didn't end up using it because he slept most of the way there (4 hr drive with one stop) but it came in handy at the place we stayed.

Re: leaving for our first family vacation next Saturday and I have a packing question
I think that's a lot of clothes. What we usually do is treat the washing machine as the hamper, all dirty clothes go in at the end of the day. After 2-3 days it's full and I run a load of laundry.

Re: leaving for our first family vacation next Saturday and I have a packing question
I'm probably in the minority and might be slightly biased since most of our traveling is via airplanes (in-laws live in TX) where we are always limited on space. I think you may be bringing too much, you'd be fine with 5 pairs of shorts and tops, 2 bathing suits, 1 sweatshirt, and 4 pjs. I know you said you might not want to do wash, but you probably will even just to wash the towels from the beach and what not.
I'd also probably leave the humidifier, but take a small sound machine. We use the little sheep when we travel.
I also bring most of the necessity meds with me, tylenol or advil, some saline, and a small nose sucker, a few bandaids, and, a thermometer. Although, the WalMart is near by it's a total pain to have to run somewhere in the middle of the night (trust me). Totally bring baby powder too, awesome with sand!
Hope this helps, have fun!

That's a great idea! When we stay at a timeshare that has a washer/dryer in the room, I would DEF. pack lighter and just do a load of laundry late at night! I bring those all in one detergent sheets.
