question about family vacation recomendations

my dh and i are looking for a reasonably priced family vaction with a 1 year old. we were looking at lake george but know absoultely NOTHING about there... so if anyone has any info i would greatly appreciate it.

if not there id love some input on other places to go maybe a beach vacation not montauk. we would like to drive.

My DD is 20 months old and this summer we're taking her to Sesame Place and we're also going to Mystic Seaport which we are SO excited about!! She is going to get to take a ferry ride, go to the aquarium which will be the highlight of her life since she LOVES fish, go to the planetarium, and see the ships. I think she will LOVE it! You should check out Mystic, they have some awesome deals. I haven't been since I was a kid but my aunt went recently and said it's very, very kid oriented and there is a ton of things for little ones to do. Here is the link if you're interested.

EDIT - We're taking the Orient Point ferry. The ride out on the north fork is beautiful and the ferry ride is SO much nicer than the Pt. Jeff ferry. Once you cross over Mystic is only like 15 min away.

meg - i can hook you up with a high school friend of mine on FB. she LIVES there and has 3 girls (mind you they are older) - but i'm SURE she'd help you out if you really want to go to Lake George!
