The problem is our society worships celebrities. Singers, actors, sports players, useless twats like the Kardashians. They can do no wrong.
We value that over doctors, scientists, cops and fireman- people who make a real difference in this world.
That's the root of a lot of this shit to be honest. A fuked up sense of values and hero worship

Money runs everything. It's the money and the pampering that blinded these parents Suites. private jets, vacations - all with the biggest star there was. I know if it were me or anyone in my immediate family - it wouln't fly. But unfortunately, I feel like I know of people IRL who would fall for this for the thrill of being "famous" even for alittle while. I only watched the first half yesterday and I found myself yelling at the TV every time the boys moms were interviewed. Every time they laughed or joke, I wanted to punch them in the face. Don't get me wrong, I am not completely blaming their mothers or families for their abuse because it was MJ who did it, but you have to see their part in this. A 7 YEAR OLD BOY knows no better. As a parent of that child, it's your job to try your hardest to protect them. From anything and everything. Sometimes accidents happen, you can't be everywhere, etc. BUT THIS? This was preventable. 100% preventable.
DH doesn't want to finish watching the other half he is so disgusted. I'll watch it though. For the 2 little boys sake.
I was so sickened by watching the first episode, I am not sure I can watch anymore. The details these men gave about what MJ did to them as 7 year old boys made me want to vomit. What a sick fuk he was. Disgusting.

It really was graphic -- I would watch to the end though. It is a little gratifying to see how both men have issues with their mothers/families because of this. Not like In Plain Sight where the girl doesnt blame them at all.
