Leaving room when DC eating/bottle
When did you feel comfortable leaving the room when DC was eating or drinking a bottle? While DS is drinking his bottle in the morning in the living room, I am in the kitchen(right next to living room) getting everything ready. I can hear him and peek in on him during this 5-10 min. Am I wrong?

Re: Leaving room when DC eating/bottle
I'm pretty sure by a year I would go in and out while DS was eating (he never held his own bottle, so I can't answer that)
By 18-24 months, he almost always was in his high chair and I'd be doing laundry, etc.
So, no I don't think its wrong

I see nothing wrong with that at all. DD will not hold her own bottle of milk, but she will hold juice in a bottle (go figure that one) - so I always just give it to her while she is playing on the floor of the family room and I am in the kitchen doing stuff.

Re: Leaving room when DC eating/bottle
If Mason would hold his own bottle I would totally do it, but since the kid pulls his arms back the moment I pick up the bottle and pushes his face forward I obviously can't
As for eating... he's a picky eater and has choking issues. I will feed him the baby food. He chokes on puffs so we're not there yet. I have given him a teething bisquit in the highchair and walked away (obviously still close to him) and put the dishes away or cleaned up his stuff, looked through the mail, etc.

I don't think I started doing that until DS was around 2, but he has some feeding issues and tended to shove too much into his mouth at once.
