Lego Party

I thought I read someplace about a Lego studio opening up to have a Lego party at - in the Ronkonkoma area.

I can't remember the name. Can anyone please help me????

Lil' Builders in Smithtown. It's really super cute in there. We went to open play right after Christmas, and my kids loved it.

I looked it up but seemed unreasonably priced for what their offering...maybe it's just me.

I had a lego party for my son at home.
I got 24 packs of Crayola crayons during the 4 for 25 cents sale at Toys R Us.
I printed blank lego men off of pinterest. When guests arrived I sat them down with a box of crayons and the paper. This was a good way to contain all the kids before everyone arrived. I used the drawing as a place mat.

Once all of the kids arrived I served pizza.

I then bought the blue bucket of legos and divided them into 13 packs of 40 blocks each. I had to use a few from our collection to make it work. But I divided them by color and then by size so each kid had roughly the same size of legos to use.

I asked the kids to make a tower, then make an animal, then spell a letter for my son's name. That was then used as a centerpiece.

For each kid I gave them a lego chima. When I got them Toys r Us was doing a free give away so each kid got a chima (they were on sale for $11 each, plus the small x-wing lego). I had each kid make the lego set that came in their kit. Then we raced the legos. The kids needed a lot of help (more than I expected.)

After this we had the cake. I got one from costco and decorated it with legos.

We also made lego candy sushi. I got the lego men and brick ice molds and melted chocolates. We took a marshmallow, the chocolate and a strip fruit roll up. We also made a fruit roll up, rice crispy treat and sweedish fish lego sushi. I gave the kids a plastic bag to take the candy home in too.

We played lego pin the shark in the water from party city at the end of the party.


So every kid received:
Paper bag, lego chima, lego eraser, box of crayons, lego x-wing, and the lego sushi to take home.

For paper goods I used lego yellow plates, green table cloth, blue napkins, and green cups. They were lego colors and cheep at Target. I spent less than $300 for the entire party for everything including food and finger foods for the adults too. It was a lot of fun but it was a lot of work. I got a lot of ideas on pinterest.

My kids liked getting the big blue lego box with the legos to keep for us. Since I set each goody bag out at the beginning of the party the kids were fine with giving the bags of legos back (making the letter at the end for a CP) and none of them complained as they all saw they were getting their own chimas and x-wings. They were all super excited for it.
